There have been several enhancements made to structural reinforcement tools in Revit 2014 that will help with modeling rebar.
These improvements are:
- In the Reinforcement settings dialog box, there is an option now with which you can assign rebar to disregard hooks when specifying shapes. This helps with extending structural workflows into the fabrication process and improves definition of rebar shape codes according to European standards.
- The Reinforcement settings dialog box now also includes an option for Rebar rounding-that lets you specify rounding parameters for structural rebar.
- New lap-slice stagger positions have been added to Fabric Reinforcement
- Upon selecting a rebar element-there is a ‘Edit Constraint’ tool that lets you apply overrides to the default host constraint behavior on a selected rebar element.
